Cancellation policy
Last updated
When an operator cancels a trip after hiring a pilot, refunds and pilot cancellation fees depend on how far in advance the trip is cancelled. Pilot post-hire withdrawals count toward application limits described below.
Operator cancellation tiers
| Time before first departure | Pilot cancellation fee |
|---|---|
| More than 72 hours | 0% |
| 24–72 hours | 25% |
| Less than 24 hours | 50% |
Refunds and cancellation fees settle 24.00 hours after cancellation to allow for dispute review.
Trips already settled under a prior policy honor the fee tier locked at hire.
Pilot application limits
Pilots who cancel 2 or more hired trips within 90 days may not apply to new trips for 14 days after the most recent cancellation.
No-shows
If a hired pilot does not arrive for a trip, the operator can report a no-show from the scheduled departure time until the trip's scheduled end. The pilot is told and has 24 hours to contest the report. If it is not contested, or our team upholds it, the trip is cancelled, any charge is refunded to the operator in full, no cancellation fee is paid to the pilot, and the no-show counts as one strike under the limits above. If our team reverses a report while it is still pending, no strike is recorded and the pilot is paid as normal. If our team reverses it after it was confirmed, only the strike is removed.
